Stage Presence: The Alexander Technique - with Jeremy Cohn

Four week online class, Wednesdays 7:30-9pm CST How can you show up more fully? How can you be more firmly grounded in the present moment? How can you let your inner life be visible to an audience? If you can learn to become more present and open in your body, you can unlock new dimensions in your performance whether that be a performance in your next play or presenting for work in a Zoom room. Influenced heavily by the the world-renowned Alexander Technique, in this class instructor Jeremy Cohn will take you through a progression of exercises and experiments geared to help you to connect to your body, loosen up tension, and bring body and mind closer together all in a playful free flowing format specifically designed for our online meeting space. In our last class you’ll experiment with a piece of text to understand how these physical exercises can help you feel more grounded under the pressure of performance.
